Suture Polyester - 3/8 circle, reverse cutting - 3/8RC30
The sterile, non-absorbable braided polyester thread for surgical applications is made of polyethylene terephthalate. It is made from linear, long-chain, high molecular weight polyester fibers with repeating aromatic units as the core component. The braided thread has an even silicone coating, which makes it more slippery and thus improves handling, tissue penetration and knot security.
Properties
- High tensile strength in both linear and knotted condition
- Maximum safety when approximating tissue under tension
- Maximum safety when used with prosthetic implants
- Smooth passage through the tissue with optimal knot security
Indications
The polyester thread is indicated for the general approximation or ligation of soft tissue parts, for example in cardiovascular, neurological or ophthalmological operations.
Contraindications
Not known.
Tensile strenght
The material is not absorbed and does not undergo any substantial loss of tensile strength in vivo.
