Gas filter Canister The filter must be placed vertical on a floor or a shelf below the exhaust/ scavenger outlet level on the anaesthesia system. • Use a 22 mm flexible scavenge tube to connect the filter to the outlet/ exhaust port on the anaesthesia system. • The unit is now ready for use. • Under normal clinical conditions the filter will provide up to 40 hours of adsorption (1lpm flow at 2% v/v) this is dependent on gas flow and volatile agent concentration. • The filter is designed to adsorb 300 g of anaesthetic agent, and should be disposed of when full (i.e. exhausted). • Weight of filter before use: 1200 g • Weight of filter when full (exhausted): 1500 g A plastic bag is provided for disposal of the filter. Put the filter into the plastic bag and seal it prior to incineration. The product shall not be classified as hazardous according to the classification and labeling rules for substance and mixtures.
